Mayor to address LAFD hazing

Mayor Villaraigosa wants to say something about the City Council's $2.7 million settlement with firefighter and hazing victim Tennie Pierce and has summoned the media at 4 pm. Talk radio shows have been hammering the settlement, and Villaraigosa ally Jack Weiss, since photos turned up showing Pierce willingly — even happily, based on the look on his face — participating in several hazing pranks at LAFD stations. KFI's John & Ken have been leading the charge.
