Subject: staff moves

Just to keep things interesting around here, wanted to let you know about a couple of staff moves involving two of our most talented writers.

Gina Piccalo will be joining the movie staff. Gina's distinguished herself as one of our finest news feature writers and this assignment will position her to report on a wide range of topics, particularly those at intersection of film and society. She will report to Betsy Sharkey.

Moving to the Style Desk will be Scott Timberg. He'll write about the local literary scene (helping to fill the void left by Anne-Marie O'Connor's book leave) and will also contribute pieces on street-level arts and culture, under the supervision of Maria Russo.

Please welcome, support and cheer on Gina and Scott in their new assignments.

O'Connor's book is on the saga of the Gustav Klimt paintings that came to L.A. from Austria this year.
