David Abel, publisher of The Planning Report and Metro Investment Report, now has a colloquium named after him. "Rethinking Governance in the Age of MySpace.com" will be held Thursday night at USC's new Galen Center and features "a roundtable dialogue on politics in the digital age among renowned experts in the fields of media, technology and government." Warren Olney of KCRW gives the opening remarks, former Assembly Speaker Bob Hertzberg gives the closing remarks, and in between Abel moderates a panel that includes:

The colloquium is put on by the Bedrosian Center on Governance and Public Enterprise at USC. Abel is also managing director of New Schools Better Neighborhoods
