Free music anyone?

LA Observed subscribers are being offered tickets to another musical premiere, this one the debut performance of composer Peter Schickele's new work Three Cellos with the Pacific Serenades chamber ensemble. This giveaway is open to all paid subscribers and the winner gets to choose the date and venue:

  • Sunday, June 3, 4 pm at Pasadena Neighborhood Church, or
  • Tuesday, June 5, 8 pm at the UCLA Faculty Center

Schickele is the composer, musician and satirist behind PDQ Bach. The new piece grows out of his musical relationship with Pacific Serenades cellist Armen Ksajikian, who is also a member of the Armadillo String Quartet, which performs many of Schickele's new works.
