Valerie McDonald, daughter of the late Rep. Juanita Millender-McDonald, added her name to the list of candidates in the 37th district special election and picked up the endorsement of Rep. Diane Watson. So far the field includes State Sen. Jenny Oropeza and Assemblywoman Laura Richardson.
