Art Marroquin is leaving City News Service for the Daily Breeze, where he will take over the LAX and Port of Los Angeles beat. That's a major beat for the Breeze, which picks up the Daily News' coverage of City Hall since joining the Singleton empire. Marroquin came up from San Diego in 2005 to take over the CNS chair at City Hall from Erin Park. He starts August 13 at the Breeze and replaces Doug Irving, who left for the Orange County Register. City News posted an opening for Marroquin's job on Journalism Jobs earlier today.
