The Times has a piece tomorrow saying that Mayor Villaraigosa and some other local electeds use more water at home than normal people — in some cases much more. OK, OK, fine. But get this, buried in the story: City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo -- of the drive without insurance, neglect to register their car and don't pay their parking tickets Delgadillos — last year had his water service cut off at home for failing to pay the DWP bill.

"Like many families, my family tries to pay its bills promptly," Delgadillo said in a statement. "Sometimes, when there are oversights and the bills aren't paid on time, we get notice, and we remedy the situation."

This is your City Attorney, ladies and gentlemen. He makes more than $175,000 a year, plus perks.
