Slate editor Jacob Weisberg gave a little shout out to LA Observed in his remarks last night at a book party at Arianna Huffington's home. Actually, he noted that I had posted he would be reading from "The Bush Tragedy," but he was only going to wave the book — the room was way too crowded for him to do any reading. W's Gabriel Snyder blogged the scene, which in addition to his bold-face names included Christine Lahti, Tracey Ullman, producer and political analyst Lawrence O'Donnell, agent Ari Emanuel, producer Dale Launer, author Ben Sherwood, Los Angeles magazine executive editor Mary Melton, Huffington Post political editor Marc Cooper, Slate blogger Mickey Kaus, political consultants Donna Bojarsky and Stephen Rivers, journos Amy Wallace, Kim Masters, Ann Louise Bardach, William Booth and Staci D. Kramer and L.A. Times staffers Rob Barrett, Carla Hall, Nick Goldberg, Maria Russo and Anne-Marie O'Connor — among others.
