Handling the Palin pregnancy

Today's New York Times story says right up high in the fourth graf that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin announced her daughter Bristol's pregnancy "after a swirl of rumors by liberal bloggers that the governor’s fifth child, who was born in April, was in fact her daughter’s." The Los Angeles Times doesn't bring up that background until the sixteenth graf, then has McCain chief strategist Steve Schmidt saying those rumors are the reason Palin made the disclosure. The rumors got their big traction in the diaries at Daily Kos, but Kos himself says now "I don't think the evidence is there to claim Trig is Bristol's son, as some have speculated...."
