The L.A. Times admirably sent out an email bulletin to website subscribers right after the Phillies won the World Series. Alas, they got the opposing team wrong. Thrice.

Phillies defeat Devil Rays in Game 5 to win World Series

By a score of 4-3, the Phillies win a game that started on Monday but was postponed due to weather. The game resumed tonight in Philadelphia in the seventh inning. The Phillies' win is only the second in the team's 125-year history. Their first win came in 1980.

The Tampa Bay Devil Rays' appearance in the World Series marked a dramatic turnaround from last year, when they had the worst record in the league.

Tampa dropped the Devil Rays name about this time last year. (* Oh yeah: The game resumed in the sixth inning, not the seventh.)
