LAUSD chief David Brewer emerged this afternoon to say he wants the school board to exercise the buy out clause of his contract, but he apparently declined to answer media questions. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued a statement urging the board to settle up with Brewer and to hire Ramon Cortines as Superintendent.
