Sign of the (L.A.) Times: layoff signs

Layoff signs
Maybe this has been up for awhile, but it was just pointed out to me today. The L.A. Times website has a little photo slide show feature called: "Are you on the layoff list? Look for these signs?" That's one of the photos. Given the latest layoff news anticipated in the newsroom this week, it's slightly ironic.

Also: Sam Zell is on the government's subpoena list in the case against Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.

* And: Tribune innovator-in-chief Lee Abrams was taken in by a years-old spoof invoking the name of Mariah Carey, from Jeff Bercovici at Portfolio.
