Weiss doesn't show at own presser

City Attorney candidate Jack Weiss scheduled a press conference this morning to announce the backing of some local enviros, including Ed Begley Jr. and Heal the Bay's Mark Gold. But Weiss didn't appear. Rick Orlov says reporters were told Weiss was at another campaign event, but there wasn't one on his public schedule. Meanwhile, rival candidate Michael Amerian received the endorsement of City Controller Laura Chick. Amerian's mother used to work for Chick.
