Former EBay Chief Executive Meg Whitman, who is 52, announced today that she'll be a Republican candidate for governor next year. Former Gov. Pete Wilson will be her campaign chairman. That makes Whitman, Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner and possibly former Northern California Rep. Tom Campbell on the Republican side. The Democrats so far will mull between Lt. Gov.
