When the Times was in the Valley *

A promotional video from 1993 [? see below] for the Los Angeles Times Valley Edition — an almost stand-alone newspaper put out by dozens of reporters, editors and other journalists who worked in Chatsworth and covered the Valley. When the Times and Daily News were competing, it seemed like everything in the Valley got reported on. Today, the edition is long closed, the plant is gone, and I'm not sure who if any reporter from the Times is actually based in the Valley (population 1.5 million) anymore. (The Daily News is also a shell of its strength then.) Featured in the video are current executive editor John Arthur and other LAT survivors, plus many ex-journalists.

* 1993?: Several readers point out that the news meeting footage discusses the O.J. Simpson case, and the murders didn't occur until June 1994.
