LA Observed

LA Sketchbook by Steve Greenberg

caronacartoon.jpg

I'm pleased to say that Steve Greenberg will be contributing original editorial cartoons to LA Observed; this is his first.greenbergcaricature.jpg Steve is an editorial cartoonist, illustrator and graphic artist who spent 30 years on daily newspapers at the Ventura County Star, San Francisco Examiner, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, San Francisco Chronicle, Marin Independent Journal and the Daily News of Los Angeles. He currently freelances to the Ventura County Reporter, the Jewish Journal and web sites in Europe and locally. He also blogs about cartooning and media and has an extensive cartoon archive online at greenberg-art.com.

More programming notes: Bill Boyarsky is taking a little hiatus from his LA Observed blog to bear down on a fun gig. He's writing a book for Angel City Press to accompany the Peter Jones documentary, "Inventing Los Angeles: The Chandlers and their Times." It's got a rush deadline so he'll be out of commission for a couple more months. Bill's earlier pieces for LA Observed are here. Angel City's newest book, by the way, is by Harry Brant Chandler: Dreamers in Dream City.
