Judy Chu's consultant Parke Skelton tells LA Observed that the reason Richard Ziman's name was belatedly taken off the invitations for this week's Chu fundraiser at Ziman's home is that he's a supporter of rival Gil Cedillo.

The story, if it matters at this point, is that Richard Ziman is supporting Gil Cedillo, and has contributed $1000 to him. He asked that his name not be on the invite. So we took it off.

Daphna is supporting Judy, and she was hosting the event. It was our mistake that we originally listed Richard as a host.

As noted yesterday, the original invitation went out under the name of Richard and Daphna Ziman.
