L.A. Times names new online editor

The new managing editor for online at the Los Angeles Times is Sean Gallagher, who has been a managing editor at the paper's website. Gallagher, who succeeds Meredith Artley, will be "responsible for the overall reader experience on latimes.com and the rest of our nearly dozen other digital efforts, which we will continue to expand," says the memo from editor Russ Stanton.
