I've mentioned several times how few reporters cover the county Board of Supervisors anymore, and how the pols would like a bit more attention. Nonetheless, the Supes have acted to reverse recent practice and bar reporters from the board room's backstage area — claiming, apparently, that the one or two scribes who hang around create a traffic jam. Lobbyists and union reps are still allowed to mingle with supervisors and department heads, LAT county reporter Garrett Therolf writes, clearly irked.
