Nahai to keep salary through '09

Departed DWP chief H. David Nahai would continue to receive his salary through the end of the year under an arrangement considered by the Department of Water and Power commissioners. The deal would pay him $82,000 between now and Dec. 31, the L.A. Times says. Nahai's resignation, almost certainly under pressure, was announced Friday.
