Steve Barr leaving Green Dot schools

stevebarrkpcc.jpgThe founder and chairman of Green Dot Public Schools is stepping down to work on “national education issues,” a spokeswoman for Barr said Friday. Barr will become chair emeritus of Green Dot, which operates 19 charter schools in the Los Angeles area. Loyola Marymount University School of Education Dean Shane Martin, a Green Dot board member, will assume Barr’s role as chairman. KPCC, Daily Breeze
