Well, two mayors were there

I'm told the political chatter at Saturday night's big True Blue dinner at the new Police Administration Building — to raise about $2 million for the Police Foundation and honor ex-chief William J. Bratton — included surprise that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa sent his remarks by video. Former mayors Richard Riordan and Jim Hahn attended in person, as did former mayoral contender Rick Caruso and state Attorney General Jerry Brown. Conan O'Brien emceed, Wolfgang Puck dished and former Bratton aide John Miller came in for the festivities.
