dougmcintyrethumb.jpgThe recently disemployed KABC talk radio host is now a front page columnist at the Daily News twice a week — Wednesdays and Sundays. There's even a little ad campaign out there. Sounds like anger will be a main theme.

This is going to be a lot of fun.

The Los Angeles Daily News has handed me the keys to Page 1 every Wednesday and Sunday with simple instructions - MAKE NOISE! So, grab a couple of pot lids, break out the air horns and let the rabble-rousing begin!

There's a nearly universal frustration and anger - yes, anger - at a city and state government that appear only interested in the favored few at the expense of your quality of life. Conservatives and liberals, cutting across the spectrum of race, religion and tax brackets - you have consistently expressed bewilderment at how a city as great as Los Angeles, a state as golden as California could be steered as recklessly as a spring break rent-a-car.

Sounds like McIntyre plans to skewer politicians he disapproves of and push those he likes — City Attorney Carmen Trutanich makes the good list. In other words, talk radio on the front page.

Meanwhile, also in the Valley: Former councilman Joel Wachs has endorsed Chris Essel in Wachs's former 2nd district.
