LA Weekly loses music editor to LAT

Randall Roberts gave notice at the Weekly yesterday. Sources say he has been hired to be music editor at the Los Angeles Times, but in reply to my Thursday email Roberts says discreetly, "All I can say now is that I have tendered my resignation at the Weekly, and that I have accepted a job elsewhere." At the LAT he'll be the replacement for Gina McInryre, who was named deputy film editor earlier this month. Roberts joined the Weekly in 2007 from elsewhere in the New Times/Village Voice Media chain.
