How many candidates for mayor can fit in one room?

hahn-inviite-caruso.jpgRick Caruso and his wife Tina are hosting a fundraiser at their home in Brentwood for City Council member and lieutenant governor candidate Janice Hahn. The invitation for the May 20 reception ($1,000 and $6,500 for "friends" and "hosts," respectively) lists among the attendees Controller Wendy Greuel, Council President Eric Garcetti, council members Jan Perry, Bernard Parks, Tom LaBonge, Herb Wesson, Paul Koretz, Paul Krekorian, Dennis Zine, Bill Rosendahl and Tony Cardenas (and their spouses in several cases, but not all.) That's at least four or five potential candidates for mayor in 2013, maybe more and maybe less as things shake out. Who knows: Magic Johnson is attending too. The more immediate question, I guess, is how many of them are gunning for City Council president ? come July 1.
