Ten of LA Weekly's people for 2010

The LA Weekly's annual LA People issue is always a savvy glimpse into the local culture and a good read. This year's compilation is out this week. It's got, to name ten, Eric Lynxwiler, the Neon Cruise-master who's got a new book out and a pretty good old one still doing well; Ivy Bottini, the 83-year-old gay-rights activist; KCRW general manager Jennifer Ferro; Adam Cooper, the mayor's official tweet writer (and new media director) who tweets himself at SirNoshALot; City Hall East power figure Jane Usher; Mozza's budino creator Dahlia Narvaez; water blogger Emily Green; political consultant Chad Griffin; Kings defenseman Jack Johnson; and TiGeorges proprietor George Laguerre. Plus at least 50 more.

(Signed, class of 2007.)

Nothing says the new LA Weekly like...: At the Weekly's LA Weekend event Friday and Saturday in Beverly Hills, the political content is Jill Stewart leading a discussion with friends-of-Ann Coulter Andrew Breitbart and Mickey Kaus and liberal blogger John Amato.
