New Hollywood and media beats editor for NYT

Mary Jo Murphy has been an editor at at the New York Times' Week in Review section and on the metro and national desks. She's highly regarded for her headlines, per the memo at Fishbowl DC. She replaces Rick Lyman. Also, Craig Hunter takes over as editor over television coverage.

• The Wrap hires former Newsweek and Wall Street Journal writer Johnnie Roberts to be an editor-at-large. Release
• Charles Apple has moved VisualEditors.com to Copydesk.org, the website of the American Copy Editors Society.
• USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism announced 20 grants for health journalism totaling $55,000. Recipients include longtime L.A. journalists Frank Sotomayor and Joy Horowitz.
