City of L.A. posts salaries of workers

Controller Wendy Greuel has unveiled an online searchable database of salaries for most City of Los Angeles employees. (Workers at the Department of Water and Power and Community Redevelopment Agency are not included, since they are on a separate payroll.) It makes Los Angeles the largest city to post a comprehensive list of salaries, her office says. Official database

The Daily News is also posting the file as a PDF. The paper had posted its own database of city employee salaries in 2008.
