She will eat lunch in this town again

noomi-rapace-toh.jpgAmid all the talk about the American actress who will replace her as Lisbeth Salander in the remake of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," the real thing is in town this week launching a Hollywood career. Noomi Rapace, a Swede who speaks fluent English, reportedly turned down the chance to reprise Lisbeth alongside Daniel Craig. She "arrived over the weekend and has met or is meeting with filmmakers McG, Joe Roth, Brett Ratner and Ridley Scott, as well as producers Avi Arad and Di Bonaventura Pictures, production execs Marc Evans at Paramount and Greg Silverman at Warner Bros.," says The Hollywood Reporter. She has signed with UTA and management company Magnolia Entertainment. Says Indie Wire: "Rapace could burst into Hollywood off the momentum of Dragon Tattoo‘s success." Meanwhile, there are new details on Rooney Mara, who has been cast in the David Fincher adaptation of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."
