Two views of LA Times' teacher story

I'm told that Board of Education member Steve Zimmer, a longtime high school teacher, will call the L.A. Times' weekend story on LAUSD teacher effectiveness "sinister” and “irresponsible” on tonight's "Which Way, L.A." at 7 p.m. on KCRW. Earlier today on "To the Point," Washington education writer Jay Mathews praised the story to Warren Olney as “mind boggling,” “daring” and probably the most important story on education reform this year.
