Did city councilman get married? Yes and no

Inland Valley Daily Bulletin columnist David Allen attended the wedding last month of Pomona councilman Tim Saunders. Allen noticed, however, that the bride and groom did not exchange rings. Turns out the councilman learned shortly before the wedding that his divorce had not yet become final, but the theater was decorated and the guests invited, so he went ahead with essentially a mock ceremony. "This is why we love the Pomona City Council," Allen writes. "Even a feel-good wedding story turns out to be nuts."
