"The virtual exclusion of Al Jazeera English from the American media market is an absurdity that KPFK is thrilled to help rectify," program manager Alan Minsky said in a statement. The FM station (90.7 FM) also announced that it will carry Truthdig Radio on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. as a joint production of KPFK and Truthdig.com. Brad Friedman, the politics blogger at The Brad Blog, will get the 3:30 slot on Wednesdays.
Explorations, the science program hosted by Michio Kaku, returns Saturday at 10 a.m. after a two month hiatus. In case you have lost track, Deadline L.A. with Barbara Osborne and Howard Blume is now on the schedule at 3:30 p.m. on Mondays.
