Patt Morrison goes far afield

Patt Morrison will do her KPCC show on Thursday live from the United Nations in New York. Her scheduled guests include the UN ambassadors from Israel (Haim Waxman), Egypt (Maged Abdelfattah Abdelaziz) and Pakistan (Abdullah Hussain Haroon) and Michael Meyer, the communications director and chief speech writer for the Secretary-General and former Europe Editor for Newsweek International. On Friday Morrison will broadcast from the studios of WNYC and talk to two Tony-nominated cast members from "The Book of Mormon" on Broadway. Both shows air from 1 to 3 p.m. in Southern California.

While in New York, Morrison's on a Saturday panel with L.A. radio figure Tom Leykis at the annual conference of Talkers magazine, which put Morrison on the cover of its February issue and ranked her #70 on its "Heavy Hundred" list of talk show hosts.
