LAO behind the scenes: Grauman's Chinese

Take a look backstage, in film impresario Sid Grauman's private upstairs box and around the gorgeous auditorium of Hollywood's (and probably the world's) best-known movie palace. The LA Observed video runs three minutes.

Hillsman Wright of the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation talks in the video about his favorite places inside Grauman's Chinese and the theater's history. The foundation for the first time offered volunteer-led public tours of the Chinese on Saturday, and drew the foundation's largest crowds ever for a tour. The tours run again on Sunday morning, May 27, starting at 8:30 a..m.
