Ho-hum - another Borat lawsuit

This time it's a guy who doesn't appreciate being seen yelling at Sacha Baron Cohen (aka Borat) to "go away" (Borat had merely asked him for a hug). In the lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, 31-year-old Jeffrey Lemeron claims that Twentieth Century Fox "unjustly enriched itself through the unauthorized use of his image" and also claims to have suffered "public ridicule, degradation, and humiliation" (funny, I'd think it would be a neat way of getting dates). Lemerond's face is pixelated in the trailer, but not in the film itself. No monetary damages are specified, but the suit does note that "Borat" has grossed in excess of $320 million in movie ticket and DVD sales. Fox said the suit is without merit. Actually, this one seems a little different from earlier Borat-related lawsuits, in which the plaintiffs signed consent forms for appearing in the film. Lemerond claims nobody asked permission. Then again, the shot was taken on a quite public sidewalk in Manhattan. From Smoking Gun and DealBreaker
