Site abatement work on Phase I of the Frank Gehry-designed Grand Avenue Project begins on Monday. Demolition of the ugliest parking structure in the world - the one at 1st and Grand - will coincide with the Feb. 7th ground-breaking date (though cars will not allowed to park inside).
