Pellicano case takes shape

They're certainly not big Hollywood names, but four prosecution witnesses set to testify against the infamous private eye might offer some interesting tidbits. Actually, the writers from HBO’s “In Treatment” would have a field day. Set to take the stand are Alec Gores, the L.A.-based billionaire investor (he’ll testify that Pellicano wiretapped his wife and his younger brother to confirm his suspicions about the nature of their romantic involvement); Susan Reddan Maguire, ex-wife of real estate mogul Robert Maguire (she'll testify that Pellicano played intercepted calls for her including conversations Maguire had with his psychiatrist and girlfriend), Adam D. Sender, a noted art collector and hedge fund manager of Exis Capital (he'll testify that Pellicano wiretapped a movie producer he accused of bilking him out of more than $1 million); and Sandra Will Carradine, ex-wife of actor Keith Carradine (she'll testify that she listened to Pellicano’s illegal recordings of Carradine’s phone calls during a property dispute in her divorce case). Pellicano will represent himself when the trial gets started next week and remains in jail without bail. Apparently the settlement talks with three other defendants have stalled. (NYT, DHD)
