Another jump in gas prices

Get ready for $4-a-gallon gasoline - if not this week, then soon. The government's just-released survey shows that the average price of regular in L.A. is $3.524, which I believe is an all-time high and compares with $3.060 for the week of Feb. 4. Many of us are already paying a good deal more. Oil, meanwhile surged above $108 a barrel in today's trading. Speculators are behind much of the jump in oil prices - crude futures offer a hedge against a falling dollar. And there's no indication that the dollar is about to stop falling.
