You know, the dust-up that lasted three-and-a-half months and forced the networks to show a bunch of reruns and reality shows. There had been talk about how the walkout by writers was going to bring big changes to the TV biz, but those predictions always seemed a bit suspect. Long strikes can change consumer habits, but unlike, say, the grocery workers strike, viewers never had to worry about someone seeing them cross a picket line. Anyhoo, a new survey shows that 82 percent of those sampled say they’re watching the same amount of television as they did during the Writers Guild walkout. Only nine percent say they're watching more, according to the research firm Carat. A few of the respondents say they're watching more television online.
