Where the home sales are

As posted yesterday, Socal home sales rebounded considerably last month, with most of the activity occurring in the interior areas - and many of the sales involving foreclosed properties. Peter Viles at L.A. Land checked out the ZIP Codes in L.A. County that had the heaviest action. Of the top 10 ranked by number of transactions, six were in the Antelope Valley. In Lancaster’s 93534, the 82 homes sold had a median price of $124,000, a 54.3 percent price drop from July 2007. ZIP code analyses can get skewed because sometimes there are very few homes sold in a given month. But 93535 in Lancaster had 131 sales in July, a pretty good sample.
