L.A. foodies know it as Joachim Splichal's effort at a seafood concept and a Westside location (the former Maple Drive space) and it just didn't work. There were some personnel changes a few months after the opening, but still it didn't work - and a half-star LAT review didn't help. Anyway, as posted by Eater LA, Splichal put it this way:

“Much time, effort and creativity went into the foundation of the restaurant, but we had an option in our lease to return the space to our landlord, and with the current economic climate, it did not make sense to continue to foster this new concept."
