Don't want to speak too soon, but with an hour or so to go the Dow is up more than 200 points. Not that there is much in the way of good news: The Fed's latest beige book report shows that the economy contracted in the first two months of the year with no turnaround expected anytime soon. Here's the Fed report.

*Dow closed up almost 150 points. The index now stands at 6875.
