CA unemployment jumps

The jobless rate last month was 11.2 percent, which is up from 10.6 percent in February. Only Michigan, Oregon and South Carolina have higher rates. The national unemployment rate was 8.5 percent. March numbers for L.A. County are due out later this morning. (LAT)
