Here are some interesting numbers:

--No. of movies released between Jan. 2 and July 21 of 2008: 336.

--No. of movies released between Jan. 2 and July 21 of 2009: 284.

Entertainment lawyers tell the National Law Journal that the recession is eating into the number and value of their deals.
