An L.A. law firm says it has come under cyber attack from China - the same firm that's handling a software piracy suit filed against the Chinese government. Beginning Monday evening, attorneys at Gipson Hoffman & Pancione began receiving several Trojan emails made to appear as if they were sent by other members of the firm. Trojan emails are those nasty devils that can retrieve data from the target's computer. The attacks have been reported to the FBI. Gipson Hoffman represents Santa Barbara-based CYBERsitter, which alleges in the $2.2 billion suit that that the Chinese illegally copied portions of its software code to block access to Internet sites. Has the Chinese government gone bonkers or what?
