Peter Guber buys Warriors

The Hollywood producer is being joined by Joe Lacob, managing partner at private equity firm Kleiner Perkins, CNBC is reporting. Purchase price is a record $450 million (previous record for an NBA franchise was $401 million for the Phoenix Suns). That's a ton of money considering that last December Forbes valued the team at $315 million - and considering that Golden State is among the league's perennial losers. Guber has a history with minor league sports teams
