As of 8 a.m., the DWP says that 15,000 of its 1.4 million customers are without power. Seems quite scattered - among the areas most impacted:
* Westchester: 2,411
* Hollywood: 1,730
* Silver Lake: 993
* Mar Vista: 925
* Southeast Hollywood: 843
* West LA: 864
* Brentwood: 763
* Los Feliz: 515
* Bel Air: 372
* Mount Olympus: 356
From the LAT:
Cooler ocean air should bring some respite to LAX, where travelers experienced 105-degree heat Monday. Air travelers can expect a high of 83 degrees at the airport Tuesday, which is slightly above average. More cooling -- another 10 degrees or so -- is expected Wednesday, when a ridge of high pressure will move out of the area. Once the high-pressure system moves east of the Los Angeles Basin on Wednesday, temperatures will start to drop even more.
