They weren't able to figure out a power-sharing arrangement that would merge the two news organizations, reports the WSJ. Too many egos is this stew - Sidney Harman, who just bought Newsweek, Barry Diller, who owns the Daily Beast, and Tina Brown, who is editor of the Daily Beast.
