*Traffic nightmare begins on Westside

It's bumper to bumper below my LABO perch on Westwood Boulevard. Cops have closed southbound traffic on Westwood at Ohio. Total Traffic Los Angeles is hearing about Santa Monica Boulevard being closed, as well as streets in Century City. This is getting very ugly, very fast.

Some assorted tweets:

--Obama madness already in Brentwood....all roads closed around Barrington shops. Sunset a mess.

--I'm stuck in #Brentwood. #Obama is across the street at #Tavern and there's cops everywhere. We can't leave our office.

--LA Traffic: Santa Monica Blvd completely blocked off around 405 b/c of Obama's visit. No north/south crossings. Olympic is jammed.

*Sounds like Santa Monica is the real nightmare - closed from the 405 to Wilshire.

**Update: 4:30: Everything is clear in the Westwood area. Actually, traffic seems lighter than normal. When Obama gets moving again, there will be more closures.
