Triple-digit days - both up and down - are becoming more common over the last few weeks. That might be more significant than the trading session itself. News-wise, this was not an especially big day, although the word from Spain was good (or so we were told), the IMF raised its global economic outlook, and earnings continue to be solid, if unspectacular. Anyway, the Dow finished up 194 points, to 13,115. By the way, Apple rose almost $30 a share, to $609.70, which might put to rest the silly speculation about the stock being in trouble.
